STOP Lawsuit Abuse in Mississippi is a non-profit. 501(c)(4) grassroots watchdog group focused on ensuring that Mississippi's courts are fair. Since its formation in the late 1990's, STOP has been educating Mississippians about the costs of lawsuit abuse, working for reforms to our state legal system, and calling out those who seek to abuse Mississippi's courts.
Everyone is affected by the costs of lawsuit abuse, including workers, taxpayers, homeowners, families, healthcare consumers and small businesses.
STOP actively supported recent efforts by the governor and state legislature to enact major reforms to Mississippi's legal system. Our state has made strides to help fix its lawsuit problems, but it is important that we remain vigilant and keep up the fight against further efforts to abuse our legal system.
